Tracey Staehle acted as consultant/director of Rapid Fire: Kick, Box and Core Burn, so you can be assured it has solid backing. Susan's workout is intense and strong, working your entire body with unique moves such as the curtsey cresent kicks (see the clip below for a sample). The bonus heavy bag workout can be done with or without a bag (if not using a bag, I recommend light handweights of about 2 pounds). Your heart rate will soar as you work your way through shadowboxing, cardio kickboxing, heavy bag, and core. Susan's powerful yet down-to-earth personality will keep you motivated and feeling strong through the entire routine.

At first I wasn't sure if I'd like a new instructor, I'm so used to workouts like Turbo Fire and running and jumping all over the place, so I wasn't sure if this workout would be intense enough but Jen, I had to change my shirt twice from the sweat! Excellent workout. I felt like I was in class with Susan, she did moves I've never done before and I just loved them! I don't have a heavy bag so I kept my weighted gloves on during that part of the workout and it was just great. The standing core is different and excellent, I love her ball (I've never seen that before). I do hope Susan makes more DVDs!

This workout is chock full of moves that will reshape your entire body and burn mega calories. It's broken down into 3 main cardio workout sections: Shadow Boxing, Aerobic Kickboxing & Heavy Bag.

Included on this DVD are mix and match options along with premixes.

  • Warm Up - 8 1/2 minutes
  • Shadow Boxing - 18 minutes
  • Aerobic Kickboxing Segment 1 - 13 1/2 minutes
  • Aerobic Kickboxing Segment 2 - 8 minutes
  • Heavy Bag Workout (includes kicking & punching) - 13 minutes
  • Standing Core/Abs - 8 minutes
  • Floor Core/Abs work - 8 1/2 minutes
  • Stretch - 6 minutes

This workout will appeal to anyone who loves to sweat and who wants a tough active workout. The moves are straightforward but the workout is advanced yet does include a modifier for lower impact moves.

ABOUT SUSAN CHUNG:
Fewer than 100 women in the United States have earned the rank of Fifth Degree Black Belt. Included in that exclusive group is Master Susan Chung.

Sue began her Tae Kwon Do training 27 years ago and achieved the rank of 1st degree black belt in 1986. In 1993 Sue and her husband Bruce (7th Dan Black Belt) opened Bruce Chung's Tae Kwon Do Studio in Harrison, NY. Sue is a graduate of Fordham University with a BA in Communications.
