PURE BARRE is very reminiscent of Tracy Effinger's SQUEEZE workout, where in several of the
exercises you will work the fine muscles in your body by maintaining steady and tiny squeezes
for maximum effect. You'll feel this workout most in your lower body, although Carrie touches
upon every muscle in the body during the 45 minute routine. I totally felt the effects of this
workout the next day (and even the day after). It's an awesome routine to supplement SQUEEZE
when I'm looking to build past a fitness plateau. By using different weight training methods, my
body definitely bursts with new fitness growth.
The Pure Barre Technique (PBT) is extraordinarily effective and fast working. Within just 45
minutes you'll work your entire body and will soon notice a narrower, leaner physique as your
abs are flattened, your glutes lifted, and your thighs are toned.
PURE BARRE was created by dancer/choreographer/fitness professional Carrie Rezabek. She'll
lead you through a system of exercises targeted to precise areas of the body.
You'll begin your workout with a warm-up and light weight work to melt away fat and re-shape
your upper body. After that, Carrie guides you through intense and specific movements to
target your thighs, glutes, hamstrings, and core. Each strength section is followed by a totally
necessary stretch (thank goodness!) to help enhance the moves and strength gains.

Carrie Rezabek opened her first ballet barre and Pilates studio in 2001, in the Detroit area.
She studied at New York City's Lotte Berk method as well as owned a Lotte Berk studio.
