Note from Jen: OMG! Talk about intense. This is a tough workout, with each 30-minute routine totally and absolutely packed with functional, multi-jointed, and combined moves. It's hard to believe that in just 30 minutes you can work your body so completely to exhaustion, but it's true. Kelly makes use of every single second, never stopping or releasing any of the intensity. Just the first weight exercise in the first workout alone will give you a clue as to what you're in for -- Kelly calls it the "Iron Cross." Just imagine ... well. Anyway, it's tough.
I love all the unique exercises, such as the two that mimick kettlebell moves using a dumbbell, or the cool fencing moves she does toward the end of workout #2. I could feel my body working in different ways than it's accustomed to, which is something I'm always searching for in a workout. This routine is NOT EASY, but it's well worth it. Highly effective, fun, and complete.
The bonus stretch of nearly 20 minutes is a welcome finish to the intensity of this workout--perfect, relaxing, and well-deserved.
