Product Description

Kelly's unique and powerful CARDIO KICK STEP-BOXING is a cool spin on her original; it's a genuine mix of true athletic-style kickboxing and the intensity of traditional step. The blend is ultra-smooth, a fusion that will keep your interest while challenging your advanced level of fitness.

Kelly blends the step moves into kickbox combinations to create a seamless integration of tempo driven, carb-burning cardio. In typical Kelly style, she never slows down the tempo for cuing (you can learn the moves ahead of time if you prefer, since Kelly includes a tutorial on the DVD, and then you won't have to worry about having to stop for a breakdown once you learn the moves). No intensity break, just fun and heart-pumping sequences. The step is placed both toward the TV and sideways for added variation, and each combo ends with a minute burst to further enhance your fat-burninig potential. Then it's on to core work before finishing with a cool-down/stretch. A winner, for sure!

REVIEW FROM JEN:

Cardio Kick Step-Boxing is over an hour of perfectly tempoed kickboxing and step moves (BTW, "tempoed" is so not a real word). This workout is just plain fun--I can't wait to do it again (and again, and again ... I can see this one becoming one of my solid favorites). I really love the fact that Kelly cues through the natural progression of the workout, never stopping the pace. This is particularly key once you learn the workout--I mean really, who wants to have to stop a fat-burning pace to learn moves you already know because you're so familiar with the DVD? Uh, no one. With Kelly's cuing, you don't have to worry about that. Ever. Oh, but she does this tutorial as a bonus section on the DVD (much like the one Amy does on her Advanced Step Challenge and ASC II workouts), so you won't have a problem learning the moves. Heck, I have two-left-feet syndrome, and I plunged right into the workout with no problems whatsoever. If I can do it, you can as well. I guarantee it. Unless, of course, the only thing you can handle is the Basic Step move, in which case you shouldn't be shopping around Advanced Workouts anyhow. I mean, we are advanced, right gals? We do the Basic Step for transitions only, k?

So anyway. In Kelly's signature style, you'll have the aerobic step positioned vertical for the first part of the workout, then horizontal. I love that, because it adds to the variety. Overall, there's nothing more I can say about either of these workouts. They're just totally fun, I adore them, nuff said. You'll see.
