My shoulders are fried! But I guess that's what happens after a person does over three thousand punches during an hour-long workout. My legs are a bit shaky too, after the intense squats/pulses.
As with AERO JUMP/SCULPT, Michael uses a voice-over technique to instruct SAVAGE & SERENE. Usually this method irritates me, but it seems to totally compliment the AeroSpace workouts. Michael is so involved and absorbed -- both mind and body -- in his technique and workout that a voice-over is actually quite natural and improves the overall level of the workouts.
I love the sound advice and encouragement he gives, as well. For example, SAVAGE & SERENE features four rounds; between rounds two and three, he says:
"Your body reflects what it does. If your activity is slow, your body will be slow. Those are the demands you make of it. But if you do a high-speed, lightweight exercise, your body will adapt and execute the high-speed exercise the best it can. Pick up your hand weights--now you know what you're here for."

Another amazing aspect to this workout is the professional-style punching drills. They're so empowering and effective (yes, my shoulders are still feeling it). The unique training-style punch counts (i.e. rapid fire count of alternating 7 punches, then rounds of 1, 1-2, 1-2-3, etc up to 7) are extremely fun, and also excellent for coordination and strengthening the fast-twitch muscle fibers. After all that punching, jumping, and lower body work, a SERENE stretch is definitely in order!
